About Us

Guided adventure tours

From riders to riders

The Downs boast some of the most beautiful natural scenery in England. As cyclists, living on the borders of the South Downs National Park and regularly riding the thousands of miles of trails, we’ve become convinced the best way to experience it, is from the saddle.

South Downs Bike Tours was born out of a desire to share the most beautiful spots, the richest history, and some of the folklore that makes this area of England so magical and mystical.

What better way to experience this natural paradise than to be among it? We’re passionate about sharing what we have learned, and the places we’ve seen, with others. Our wish is to provide a guided bicycle tour experience like no other, and to leave lasting memories for fellow adventurers.

Cycle from Winchester to Eastbourne

Explore The South Downs by Bike

The South Downs Way stretches from the ancient cathedral city of Winchester in the west, first capital of England, through to the white chalky cliffs of the Seven Sisters and Beachy Head at Eastbourne in the east. Almost all of its stunning 160 kilometre length is blissfully off-road.

We’ve been riding the trails, finding the secret spots, and enjoying the Downs for over 12 years. We’d love to share what we’ve learnt about this stunning natural place of beauty with other riders, and create a charming and enjoyable experience of the Downs.
